UNA St Ives is a flagship eco holiday complex close to St Ives comprising of 123 luxury holiday villas, restaurant, spa, and leisure facilities including a 15m indoor infinity pool.
The properties have been carefully and sustainably crafted with nature in mind, working with local suppliers wherever possible. Each property was constructed with wood obtained from sustainable sources and bolstered with sheep’s wool insulation and triple glazing.
The properties also have green roofs that enhance the scenic outlook of the development. Naturally insulating and thereby reducing energy costs, each roof soaks up the rain reducing the run off rainfall and acting as a sustainable drainage system. The discretely placed low maintenance solar panels supplement electronic immersion systems, and efficiently supply about a third of hot water needs.
Each property has whole house heat recovery ventilation systems and are triple glazed allowing for a high level of solar heat gain that captures energy from outside during the day to keep residents cosy at night.
