Seaton and White Buildings

Poynton Bradbury Architects were appointed to design two new buildings for Truro College to be delievered in a single phase.

The White Building is a new centre for art and design, while the Seaton Building is a facility for automotive, construction and engineering.

Large studio teaching spaces in the White Building are arranged around a central atrium reaching from the ground floor through to the top of the building. This provides break out social areas with display spaces and a large gallery.

The Seaton Building has a large covered courtyard and workshops with motor vehicle bays where students are able to learn building and maintenance skills to prepare for work in the motor industry, construction and engineering.

The project recieved an additional boost in when a Skills Funding Agency grant allowed for extra workshops and facilities to be added to the Seaton Building.
