Spectrum at Saatchi Gallery - 04/07/2012
West Country architectural studio PBWC present their £8m landscraper scheme for national autism charity Spectrum at a fundraising art auction at the Saatchi Gallery in London tonight. The low impact scheme will provide an arts and diagnostic suite, school and housing to create a unique facility.
Speaking about the project, PBWC Director Rachael Gaunt comments, “The project is organised around a flowing timber spine. Fin walls then anchor the form to its rugged Cornish coastline setting.”
Chief Executive of Spectrum, Mary Simpson, adds, “We are delighted to be working with PBWC. They have captured the ethos of our charity and transformed it into an exciting architectural proposition that will help transform the lives of the individuals with whom we work.”
The project will be delivered in phases, with the first phase being delivered in 2013.
